My Progress – Week 12
Can we just pretend I didn’t just fall off the wagon for a few weeks? I think it was two, maybe three weeks that I just completely ignored my healthy habits. This is not a first, probably won’t even be a last. So I’m just going to pick up where I left off and start focusing again.
No sense in beating myself up over things I can’t change. That just adds negative feelings to an already difficult journey. So let’s skip that part altogether and level set.
Goal #1 – Diet – Track my blood sugar, no matter what. Since I had starting tracking again, my goal was to continue tracking it whether I’m cheating or not.
After not doing it for a few weeks, I did finally start doing it again at the beginning of this week. Since I was eating unhealthy meals, my blood sugar started climbing again. But I started eating right again this week and it’s coming back down gradually.
This week’s goal: continue tracking my fasting blood sugar every single morning, no matter what.

Goal #2 – Exercise – 100 Active Minutes/3 days – My exercise goal for the week was to achieve at least 100 active minutes on at least 3 days. I did not achieve this goal this week. In fact, while I wore my Fitbit all week, I didn’t even notice that it was on a dead battery. I just wasn’t paying attention to it. The results of that is no activity measured at all.
This weeks goal: Get active again! Shoot for 100 active minutes on at least 3 days.
Goal #3 – Diet – Macro Tracking – The goal was to track what I eat, no matter what. After skipping a few weeks, I did start tracking again this week.
I also ate clean this week. It was a perfect week for this goal. My goal stays the same on this one, continue tracking everything I consume.
Goal #4 – Measurements – This goal was to take measurements of my progress, even if I think it will be bad. I did that, after skipping a few weeks. I expected to gain some inches back this week since I cheated most of the days. I did have bigger measurements in a couple of areas, but it wasn’t as bad as I expected. This goal also stays the same for now.

What’s Next?
My journey is long. I will rise and I will fall. But then I will get up, dust my shoulders off, and get back in the game. I’m a warrior. I got this. A loss of 38 pounds so far has me motivated to keep going. I’ll take it, ya know? One step and one day at a time. That’s all I can do. We’ll get there.
How was your week? Did you meet your goals this week? What are you currently trying?
Remember, forget skinny…train to be badass!
