My Progress - Week 9
This week was even better! I stayed in ketosis all week which mean I ate clean all week too. Most of my healthy habits were on point this week.
I wasn't really active this week, which is okay. I wasn't feeling great so I made the conscious decision to take a break and rest. But that is the only goal that didn't get achieved this week.
Goal #1 - Diet - Start tracking my blood sugar, no matter what. Since I had completely stopped doing it, my goal was to start doing it again.
This week, I achieved this goal perfectly. I have a good morning routine started now where I weigh myself before leaving my bedroom and I check my blood before I get my morning drink. It is working out perfectly.
My blood sugar has come down a lot from the 200 I started with. It jumped around a bit this week but it's staying under 120 which is fantastic! In order to kick the prediabetes, my fasting blood sugar needs to be 99 mg/dl or lower most days. I'm not quite there yet but I'm definitely getting there.
Goal #2 - Exercise - 100 Active Minutes/3 days - My exercise goal for the week was to achieve at least 100 active minutes on at least 3 days. I did not achieve this goal this week.
Since I wasn't feeling my best, I took a break. I'm not mad about it.
Goal #3 - Diet - Macro Tracking - The goal was to track what I eat, no matter what. I did do that this week, all 7 days. That's my friends, is perfect!
I ate clean the entire week without a single cheat day or meal. It was a great week and it wasn't at all difficult, I stayed super motivated.
Goal #4 - Measurements - This goal was to take measurements of my progress, even if I think it will be bad. I did that. I lost inches in every area this week! That is so exciting! I have noticed my clothes getting more loose.
I think my weight is about to plateau so it's going to be key for me to take my measurements every week for then next few weeks to see my progress.
This was a great week for goals. I'm nearly 5 pounds down from last week and I lost inches as well. I kept to my clean eating and tracking all week. The only area I need improvement on this week is getting active. I don't foresee any issues doing that.
My journey is long. It will take me a long time to get to where I need to be. But I am 32 pounds down now and losing inches. I'll take it, ya know? One step and one day at a time. That's all I can do.
How was your week? Did you meet your goals this week? What are you currently trying?
Remember, forget skinny...train to be badass!
