My Progress – Week 11
This week was only slightly better than last week… again. I was cheating most of the week and didn’t even try to start getting back into ketosis until Friday. I’m not quite in ketosis yet but I’m staying motivated to get there.
I wasn’t active again this week, I did make an attempt to get active. But only toward the end of the week and it wasn’t my best effort, to be honest.
Goal #1 – Diet – Track my blood sugar, no matter what. Since I had starting tracking again, my goal was to continue tracking it whether I’m cheating or not.
This week, I achieved this goal perfectly again. I morning routine is still working out perfectly. I need to just stick to it. But since this is now a routine, it no longer needs to be a goal. So I’m changing this goal to: get blood sugar levels back under 140 all week. This will be a bit more challenging but we’re going to do it.
My blood sugar has come down a lot from the 200 I started with. But it was quite elevated this week since I wasn’t eating right. Last week I believe it was mostly under 120. This week it was mostly above 120. That’s not good. I need to get control of it and maintain it.

Goal #2 – Exercise – 100 Active Minutes/3 days – My exercise goal for the week was to achieve at least 100 active minutes on at least 3 days. I did not achieve this goal this week. But I did make an attempt. I managed to get 103 active minutes only 1 day this week. That is an improvement from last week.
I have no excuses for this week. I just didn’t get it done.

Goal #3 – Diet – Macro Tracking – The goal was to track what I eat, no matter what. I did do that this week, all 7 days.
I did not eat clean this week. I made a decision right at the beginning of the week to eat cake. It took me four days to eat the cake, but I ate it. I also drank soda. Obviously, my carbs and sugar were both way too high as a result. But Friday I got it together and started eating clean again. So… progress.

Goal #4 – Measurements – This goal was to take measurements of my progress, even if I think it will be bad. I did that. I expected to gain some inches back this week since I cheated most of the days. I did have bigger measurements in a couple of areas, but it wasn’t as bad as I expected.

What’s Next?

This was an okay week for goals again, a little better than last week. I’m down 1.6 pounds from last week and I still lost fractions of inches. I kept to my tracking all week. This week I need to get back into ketosis and get active.
My journey is long. It will take me a long time to get to where I need to be. But I am 32 pounds down now and losing inches. I’ll take it, ya know? One step and one day at a time. That’s all I can do. We’ll get there.
How was your week? Did you meet your goals this week? What are you currently trying?
Remember, forget skinny…train to be badass!
