My Progress – Week 10
This week was not as good as last week. My weight plateaued at the beginning of the week and I started dealing with insomnia. So, I did a bit of cheating this week. But I did not binge at all. That’s still progress, right? I did not go overboard on the cheating which I’m proud of.
I wasn’t active again this week, I was tired. Insomnia sucks and messes up my whole schedule. So I gave myself a break… again.
Goal #1 – Diet – Track my blood sugar, no matter what. Since I had starting tracking again, my goal was to continue tracking it whether I’m cheating or not.
This week, I achieved this goal perfectly again. I have a good morning routine started now where I weigh myself before leaving my bedroom and I check my blood before I get my morning drink. It is still working out perfectly.
My blood sugar has come down a lot from the 200 I started with. It jumped around a bit this week, probably based on what I ate. But it stayed under 120 the entire week! In order to kick the prediabetes, my fasting blood sugar needs to be 99 mg/dl or lower most days. I’m not there yet but I’m definitely getting closer.
Goal #2 – Exercise – 100 Active Minutes/3 days – My exercise goal for the week was to achieve at least 100 active minutes on at least 3 days. I did not achieve this goal this week.
Since I wasn’t feeling my best, I continued my break. I’m still not mad about it. But I do want to get on this goal this coming week and do better. I need to put the laziness to rest and get to steppin.
Goal #3 – Diet – Macro Tracking – The goal was to track what I eat, no matter what. I did do that this week, all 7 days.
I did not eat clean this week like I did last week. Not beating myself up about it, I managed to only gain 2.5 pounds back this week since I didn’t binge eat. But I need to get back to eating clean. So my goal this coming week is to continue tracking and to get back into ketosis.
Goal #4 – Measurements – This goal was to take measurements of my progress, even if I think it will be bad. I did that. I expected to gain some inches back this week since I cheated most of the days. But I didn’t, I still lost inches in most areas.
My weight did plateau as I expected it would, but I still lost inches this week. It was a good week despite not staying clean with eating.
What’s Next?
This was an okay week for goals. I’m up 2 pounds from last week but I still lost inches. I kept to my tracking all week. This week I need to get back into ketosis and get active.
My journey is long. It will take me a long time to get to where I need to be. But I am 30 pounds down now and losing inches. I’ll take it, ya know? One step and one day at a time. That’s all I can do.
How was your week? Did you meet your goals this week? What are you currently trying?
Remember, forget skinny…train to be badass!
