Sunday Stats – Ki – Week 2 – October Fitness Challenge

October Challenge - 2018 - Week 2

Even though I failed this challenge the first week, I decided not to just give up and quit.  This is a journey and the ultimate goal is to lose weight.  Part of doing so, is to create good habits that will lead to a healthier lifestyle and natural weight loss.

As such, I'm using this challenge to create a habit of at least 30 active minutes each and every day.  Whether I work out or not, I should have at least 30 active minutes.  So, on Monday, I picked the reigns back up, brushed myself off, and got back to work.  It was a successful week.

Wednesday, I barely met goal.  I don't remember which day it was, but there was one day that I had completely forgotten to get up out of my chair and be active.  Then I was chatting with Beck that evening where she mentioned active minutes which reminded me to get up.  So I barely got the active minutes for that day, but I got them.  That's the important thing.

I'm hoping that eventually I won't need reminders and it will become a habit to get up every hour or so and be active.  I have a desk job so when I get focused on work, or hobbies even, hours fly by without me even standing up much.  Perhaps I'll start setting a timer to remind me each hour to at least get up and stretch.  We'll see how that works.

Feeling a little more like a badass this week!

Talk soon,
