Lotus Yoga Mat

Do you use the Lotus Yoga Mat? This sucker is THIN! I mean it’s so thin if you don’t have carpeted floors it’s miserable to use thin!
The upside is that it’s got a textured surface so you don’t slip and slide all over the place when you sweat. Although I’ve recently learned your supposed to use a towel for that. At home, I don’t want to increase the amount of laundry I have to do. Who’s got time for that?
This yoga mat folds into a nice little square and can be easily stored in a drawer which is a total bonus in my book.
If the day comes that I take a yoga class again, it can be stored in a bag with my blocks and strap and I won’t have to carry around a weird rolled up mass.
The Lotus Yoga Mat, like the Gold’s Gym Foldable Exercise Mat, also lays perfectly flat because it folds up. Totally love that. I hate feeling like I need clamps embedded in the floor just to use a mat.
The price point is also lovely. I paid $8 for this pretty purple Lotus beauty.
Downside

The downside of the Lotus Yoga Mat is that it has no padding between me and the tile…might as well be trying to work out on concrete floor. I use it as a slip pad over another thicker mat and a folded up blanket. I’ve learned that I do not like to be uncomfortable when I sweat my butt off.
It is useful still because it doesn’t slide out of place even on a slick surface. As necessity goes… eh… it’s not really needed. If you don’t actually go to yoga classes, you could use a folded up blanket and be fine.

Comfort is badass…just sayin!
