New Challenge & New Goals

There has been a big change in my world. I left a job at the end of last month. I started a new one on the first. This is the first week of that job. My goals this month are just to adapt to my new schedule and work.

April Challenge – 2019 – Baseline

Baseline Measurements

  • Hips: 44″
  • Waist: 43″
  • Weight: 192.5

Day 1 – Monday

Training is on the other side of town from me. Instead of getting up at 430 in the morning I have to get up at 330 in morning. This proved to be much more difficult than I expected it to be.

I left my house at 530 expecting to be a little early. That didn’t happen I was barely on time. I under estimated traffic. It was rough.  The first day went okay. I messed up a few times but hey… apparently everyone messed up just like me. I caught on quickly and worked hard.

The drive home was agonizing. I’m used to being in the car no more than 5 minutes at a time. It was a full hour to get home from work. My brother was in the hospital so I had to go take care of my mom’s boyfriend.  I didn’t get home until almost 7pm.  I did my work out late. I got it done.

Day 2 – Tuesday

I did the workout before work this morning. Again had to leave by 530. I’m dragging a bit. My brother was in the hospital still so I had to go after work to take care of my mom’s boyfriend. Again I didn’t get home until after 7. I went to bed early.

Steps: 10,847

Day 3 – Wednesday

The new job is going well. I’m learning quickly. It’s a fast paced job but less walking around. I get less steps a day. I like my new job. I’m tired. Very tired. I got home from work, did my workout and took a nap.

Steps: 10,650

Day 4 – Thursday

Fast food delivery has been my life this week. I haven’t felt like cooking after I get home. The earlier mornings are wearing me down for sure. I’m falling asleep in my chair in the afternoon. I did my workout quick before bed. Went to bed early.

Steps: 10,039

Day 5 – Friday

I’m exhausted. The earlier hours are so hard. I wasn’t feeling like doing anything. I struggled to do the workout this morning. I went to work. Did my job. Went and cleaned my sister’s house. Went by my mom’s house  Came home. Took a shower and was in bed by 7. I didn’t get up again until the next day.

Steps: 10,787

Day 6 – Saturday

I woke up kind of late in the morning. It was about 930 when I woke up. That was late because I had to take my kid to the doctor at 1130. So I jumped up and got to work on my day. Went and walked my sister’s dog. Took the kid to the doctor. Went to a few stores to run errands. Came home did my workout and hung out for the rest of the day.

Progress on My Goals

Personal goals

This next week I’m going to be working at my own store. Much closer to my house. I shouldn’t have to get up as early or leave as early. It’ll be great. So my personal goals for this week is to eat better. Either no fast food or less fast food by a long shot. More water! And go to the gym at least once this up coming week.

I accomplished the workouts this week. It was hard to remember to do them as tired as I was this week. Next week I hope that everything feels more smooth and right.
